Garden Window Throw

Skill Level: Beginner

At 55” x 70” this throw is a great size for getting cozy, and it’s so easy to make! The little windows help this project work up quickly, and the three-row repeat pattern makes it a stress-free project (without being overly tedious).

I used a bulky / 5 weight yarn for this project - you can find the exact yarn I used, yards needed and other supplies listed below!

Supply List:

Yarn:
9 balls (or approx. 1, 811 yards) of: Premier BLOOM Chunky (weight 5 / bulky)
Color Pictured: Gerbera

Hook: L / 8.0mm (you can buy this hook in my favorite set here)

 

Dimensions:

Finished Throw Dimensions: 55” x 70”

Gauge: 4.5 rows and 9 dc sts = 4” x 4”

 

The Pattern!

Here is the written pattern for the Garden Window Throw. Please note that in this and all of my patterns, US Stitch Terms are used!

Pattern Abbreviations:

ch(s) = chain(s)

sk = skip

dc(s) = double crochet

st(s) = stitch(es)

 

Chain 120. (Pattern multiple is 5 + 3 + 2)

Row 1: Working in back bar Dc in 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across to end of row.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Dc in 1st st and in each st across to end of row.

Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Dc in first 3 sts, *ch 2, skip 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * across to end of row.

Row 4: Ch 1, turn. Dc in first 3 sts, * 2 dc in ch 2 space, dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * to end of row.

Row 5: Ch 1, turn. Dc in first st and in each st across to end of row.

Rows 6-87: Repeat rows 3-5 (ending with row 5)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
